Ryzen 2700, ASRock b450m pro4, tried front (mapped to headphones) and rear (mapped to speakers) jacks, using Sennheiser Game One headset.

Guess I need to buy an external sound card. IF it fits on that tiny board >.>

And yeah, not buying another ASRock again. No info on this, no solution anywhere, and for god's sake, this is 2020, how do you skimp 50 cents on a freaking good sound solution? These chips are cheap... Never again.

Almost a year ago i built a new pc based on topic-mentioned motherboard. And to this very day there is a specific problem present - the sound volume is very low. Even at 100%, games, videos, music etc sound too quiet. I tested my headset (logitech g430) with my main pc (intel skylake platform, maximus viii hero z170) and my old 2011 laptop - both of them worked fine. Actually on skylake i keep headset volume only at 66% which is more than enough.
i also tried installing different sound drivers from realtek website and asrock downloads - same result. Lastly, i tried switching from front jack to the one in the back - nothing.
Also, from time to time sound skipping occures in games. A good example is this video https://youtu.be/l7TLgzfxYVY, last 20 seconds of it.

So, what is it? Faulty motherboard or some software problems? Please help.

p.s. back in the day i had asus b150m plus mb which is also a budget mobo and it had realtek 887 codec but the sound was way better and loud.

other hardware

ryzen 2600
crucial ballistix lt sport 3000 cl15
msi armor gtx 1660
600w power supply
win 10 1909
