    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=17925">north23</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 15132<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 15 Nov 2020 at 12:21am<br /><br />Hi, not sure whether you have fixed your problem. let me share my experience in resetting cmos. i encountered similar problem when i replaced CMOS battery.<br /><br />this was what i did:<br /><br />Reset Cmos by shorting the jumpers. <br />Refer to manual how to reset cmos jumper..with cmos battery on, switch off the power n wait for about 15 sec. Take out the jumpers from the original position 1 &2 and slot in the pins 2 and 3 to  clear cmos pins...wait for 5 sec....then put it back to default pins 1 & 2...then try power on <br /><br />it solved my problem. then just setup the BIOS manually or restore from your backup setting.]]>

When I turn it off and then turn it on again, the bootloop starts again!]]>

I already knew that it had this issue: when you press the power button, fans start spinning for a second, then the system reboots endlessly, until you don't shut off the psu.<br /><br />I've checked the pins on the socket and they are all ok.<br /><br />What could it be?<br /><br />Thanks in advance for the reply!]]>
