I'm an idiot... after all this time I didn't know that the speed labeled on the ram was the highest overclocked speed achieved. I kept setting the XMP to 3200 and would get blue screen crashes. Didn't know that I could choose any speed in between. Have stability at 3066 right now.

    Author: Cornishrooster
Subject: 15205
Posted: 16 Aug 2020 at 3:35am

Hi all - New to the forum here but I've had my taichi x370 for awhile. It was a pain to setup when the board first came out and very finicky. Now it's very stable but I'm still having issues with getting the correct memory speeds. I'm using two sticks of corsair CMU16Gx4McC3200 @ 8gbs each. I have no real issues with my pc at all except for I'm not getting the right speeds. CPUID has my memory frequency at 1066.8 Mhz and not the stated 2133 Mhz. Any suggestions on how to change that?

Running stock 1700 (upgrading to 3900x soon)

Just as a heads up I've been building pcs since the 90s but I haven't spent a whole lot of time learning how to change memory timings and how to overclock successfully. I'm sure I can pick it up but every time I've tried the pc seems so unstable that it doesn't seem worth it to me.
