Author: jaws3
Subject: 15219
Posted: 17 Aug 2020 at 7:21am

I triple boot my system, and the set boot order gets reset at every reboot to the windows boot manager, which I had set as second or third. I have tried "load optimized defaults," which does not fix the issue. I can press f11, and manually select the boot drive/EFI, and it works fine. Interestingly, this had worked fine for some time. I could set Linux EFI as boot #1, for example, and it would work. But all of a sudden, it started defaulting to the windows boot manager, and any changes I made to the order didn't seem to hold after the restart - where it kept defaulting to windows boot manager. No changes had been made on the system when this started. No OS installs, drive changes, or BIOS updates. It just stopped working, and stopped holding the boot order preferences. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks for any assistance.
