Author: midnightcruise
Subject: 15265
Posted: 20 Aug 2020 at 4:05am

Well I have lost all respect for ASRock with my last customer service interaction.

I have three Aqua X570 systems. They have been running flawlessly, but one of them always seemed to have a leak. I could not see any water for 5 months (probably evaporating as slow as the leak was). Finally figured out it was a crack near the threads in the CPU water block. I suspect it was cracked when the threads were cut.

I contacted ASRock to see how I could get this serviced, and they replied several days later with:

"Once the item has physical damage it will void out the warranty coverage on that motherboard"

Hummm... I have built many systems and while I can't say I did not inadvertently do this, I feel strongly that I did not crack the acrylic.

I even asked if they could repair it at my expense, but got the same answer.

Let this be a warning to anyone purchasing ASRock motherboards! They don't stand behind the warranty and apparently don't have the ability to provide parts for products under warranty.

I am feeling quite sad about this. I used to be an ASRock fanboy... not any more!
