Author: timodaone
Subject: 15550
Posted: 24 Aug 2020 at 3:15pm

So I went from bios version 2.90 to 3.20 to find out that when using static core clock values for CPU frequency or even leaving every at default values as for PBO and what not, I can never see by clock speeds reach the exact values. I'm running a Ryzen 5 3600X and when on default settings will max boost on the fastest cores to 4392Mhz (it's always a 8Mhz difference for some reason) instead of the 4400Mhz I get with Bios version 2.90. It does the same thing for static overclocking values as well. It did this as well in Bios version 2.90 but disabling Spread Spectrum fixed it. This is not the case in both recent Bios version 3.20 and 3.30 which I both tested but decided to go back to 2.90 cause I find this really annoying. If somebody finds a fix for this or a dev can help me out with a beta bios this would be awesome to be able to keep my bios updated and with no annoying bugs, thank in advance.

-Tim Cruz
