Author: SRobbins1977
Subject: 16312
Posted: 21 Sep 2020 at 9:36pm

I'm trying to flash update by UEFI because a M.2 storage device I bought isnt working and it appears the update is in the latest firmware update.

I'm going nuts with instant update. Ive tried several USBs with FAT32 format. Including a REALLY OLD one that is only 4GB because I read some place it wont read larger than 4GB. But Instant Flash keep saying that no image file is detected. On top of that I tried every USB port on the computer wondering if maybe there is a "boot" specific USB port.

So I moved on to internet flash update. It appears to connect, it gives me the latest one on the list, then I select it for flashing... and it download errors. Ive tried Auto for location, then I tried every server around the globe. Which is a pain, because I also found out you cant just switch it try running again, or else it will go back to auto. you have to save changes and exit then F2 and do it again.

Finally I decided I'd try the old way by flashing withing in the Windows OS. But it doesnt look like there is an app for it.

What is up? What am I doing wrong? Is there a flash app I can download?
