For what purpose, I am not sure, but on my Phenom II X6 the BIOS/UEFI temperature for the CPU is over 10C higher than what it is when I'm doing nothing in Windows. My fans are always spinning at full speed, so it's only due to the load the CPU is under.]]>

So long as your in OS temps are good I wouldn't worry about it.]]>
