I too, have been digging everywhere to find this out. Can you confirm if it outputs 7.1 audio or just some generic audio signal? I would like to use this in a HTPC with 4K/60 video through the Displayport. I can't seem to find any motherboards that state this and I would like to avoid getting one with a optical output as well. For those with a similar question: an Asrock employee verified that both audio over HDMI and DP work when the graphics support it (in this case UHD 630). Before this answer I also ordered the screen and tested it, and I can verify that it works in practice as well.

I would very much like to buy a monitor with built-in speakers to my system with a H470M-ITX/ac motherboard and Intel UHD 630 graphics. As HDMI is limited to 1.4, I would like to use DisplayPort.
Will it be possible to output video+audio over DP to a monitor that accepts this?

The specs indicate audio via HDMI only and the manual says:
"Onboard HDMI HD Audio: Enable audio for the onboard digital outputs"

As I also spied a USB C port on MB I was also wondering whether this can also output combined audio/video and what the limitations are.
