My original monitor is bad.<br /><br />Having 2 x 2.5 HD works well and there are no issues, it's just a failing monitor.<br /><br />Thank you for your help]]>

I am now thinking that the monitor is broken but I have no tools to check further.<br /><br />The monitor is an LCD and they do flicker when the backlight is broken, as this may be the case.]]>

I will give that a go and report back.]]>

Basically it allows backward compatibility with<br />older hardware standards. Disabling or enabling it often helps with boot issues.<br />Disable with newer hardware (standard wise) and Enable with older. Disabling it<br />with modern drives can improve boot times. ]]>

Only connect one 2.5-inch drive to the DeskMini.<br />2. Connect another drive to try.<br />3. Change the SATA port and SATA cable.<br />4. It was fast and booting up was very quick, under 8 seconds in most cases.<br /><br />However, I noticed that I can install 2 x 2.5 inch drives in the A300, so I added two 1TB 2.5 drives to the machine. <br /><br />Since I have done this the booting is slow. The machine turns on the screen and then off again, this happens for arounf 40 - 50 seconds and so, the screen switches on and off about 30 - 40 times. <br /><br />During the boot up the orange hard drive LED is work (not hard on) and then the screen takes me to the Windows login screen.<br /><br />I have reset BIOS to default and the problem still continues. BIOS is set to have the Samsung drive as boot.<br /><br /><br />Any ideas what is causing this, how to diagnose, or how to fix it?<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />]]>
