    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=17634">electrosteam</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 16986<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 24 Oct 2020 at 3:13pm<br /><br />Posted a thread on the Ubuntu Forum on this subject.<br /><br />A couple of good responses, one way-out.<br /><br />The suggestion was to disconnect all IDE/SATA devices, and turn on with just the USB connected.<br />This may force UEFI to address the USB.<br />Then turn-off, then start up and check the UEFI options.<br />Sometimes the UEFI then adds the USB option to the boot selection list.<br /><br />Tried it and it works.<br />But, the UEFI seems to only allow two boot options, so had to disconnect the DVD to get a USB boot with ability to install on the hard drive.<br /><br />I can accept this as it is not often I will need to either boot from USB or use the DVD.<br /><br />Keep well,<br />John.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=17634">electrosteam</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 16986<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 17 Oct 2020 at 1:23pm<br /><br />z68 Pro 3 Gen 3, Intel i7 3400 MHz, UEFI P1.10.<br /><br />Perhaps a 2011 build.<br />Stored without hard drive after a couple of years.<br />Another hard drive installed recently.<br />Lubuntu 18.04 installed via CD, the only OS on the machine.<br /><br />I have done a CMOS reset to factory by the battery out technique.<br /><br />I have the latest Lubuntu (20.04) on a USB, that will not install.<br />There is no provision, that I can see, to add USB to the boot order.<br /><br />Any suggestions ?<br /><br />What other details do I need to provide ?<br /><br />Thanks in advance for any help,<br />Keep well,<br />John (in Sydney).]]>
