Ok I solved it. I managed to stop the mouse waking up the pc in S3 sleep mode by disabling "Allow this device to wake the computer" on BOTH the mouse and keyboard. I have H270M performance and the usb mouse keeps waking up the pc even though I've disable this option in the bios. Any slight vibration and the pc wakes up. I was using it as my main pc but have now converted it to a htpc so this function is very important to me because it's in the living room.
