Update - it lives! Thanks for giving me the confidence to get stuck in Xaltar. PSU was fine but had to go through hangs at A2, A9, A6, 99 and 62, remove all PCIE cards, all drives and replace the CPU Still, got there! Thanks Xaltier, and yes, I meant CMOS clear rather than BIOS. Well, better a PSU than replace Mobo, CPU, RAM and cooler! Will give it a try (and I should have a low tech PSU tester somewhere too. You mean CMOS clear? I didn't see any mention of a BIOS flash. If the PSU is
dead/dying then yes, it makes sense that it could be failing more and more each

00 means they system could not detect a CPU, given the circumstances I am inclined
to think your PSU died (partially at least). The 00 code will happen if you don't
connect the CPU 4/8pin power or if that power is low. I would try a new PSU before

Update. Cleared CMOS per manual, no boot at all now, no fans, no bios read out Power going through somewhere as a USB stick briefly lights up when main power switched on. Hi,
Apologies if this is covered elsewhere but couldn't spot via search. Following a power cut last night while system was running, PC now refuses to boot. No graphics output by DVI , VGA or separate Graphics card. Fans power up to full speed but board indicator sits at 00. PC attempts its own reboot after about 5 mins but same result. System has been stable with no hardware changes for months. Please don't advise a UPS, it was on one but looks not to have shut down before it lost power (new battery was ordered 3 days ago following APC s/w prompt - that's Fri 13 for you!). Any help gratefully received.
