I have done further troubleshooting and found that when plugged directly into my router everything works as expected, yet my other computer can still use my wall port without issues. It's very baffling. I believe the Cat5e being routed through my roof, or my modem itself are somehow incompatible.

    Author: Kolapsicle
Subject: 17288
Posted: 20 Nov 2020 at 8:25am

Hey all, I recently bought the Phantom Gaming 4, and unfortunately ran into a networking problem. My Ethernet is able to connect to my LAN, and WAN, but consistently times out at a measured 90% packet loss (to my gateway, and Google's DNS at 8.8.8.8). I have taken a few steps in order to address it, but I've run out of ideas.

Firstly, I formatted my PC with Windows 10, and tested a few drivers.

Tested driver versions:
     10.45.928.2020 (Latest Realtek resource)
     10.39.212.2020 (Latest ASRock resource)
     10.25.119.2018

I confirmed that my network is stable on other devices, my previous PC being one of them. I have tried 10, 100, and 1000 mbps port speeds as well as various energy saving configurations. I have also tested three known working Ethernet cables.

Having gotten all of that out of the way, I've found that there appears to be no TX packet loss, and only RX. I was in Discord with a few friends when I switched over from my WiFi adapter to the problematic wired Ethernet where I've been told they were still able to hear me while I could not hear them. I plan to investigate TX, and RX loss further.

Has anyone else had this, or a similar problem with their Ethernet adapter? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
