Author: r1348
Subject: 17472
Posted: 11 Dec 2020 at 1:49am

Hello,

I wanted to disable CSM from my BIOS settings to be able to enable "Above 4GB decoding" for video memory, which is basically SAM, but if I disable CSM I completely lose video output until the OS takes over. This also means that I can't see the BIOS configuration anymore and have to use the CMOS jumper to reset the mobo to factory settings.
My previous motherboard, an ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP, was working fine with CSM disabled with the same graphics card.

Here's my system specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
ASRock X570 Pro4
Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 SE
2x8GB Crucial DDR4-3600
2x512GB Samsung 850 Pro

Anyone known if there's any known bad UEFI interaction between my mobo and my graphics card?

Thanks!
