Go to laptop's manufacturer's website and/or forums and ask others that have the same laptop .. or check out reviews of whatever laptop you are looking at .. or go in store and take a look at the BIOS yourself.

I have to buy a laptop with AMD Ryzen 7 4800h processor, they told me that it doesen't support DDR4 3200Mhz with XMP support.
The question is: It is true that If the ram has XMP support it can't run at 3200Mhz and then run at lower frequency if the bios doesn't have this XMP support?
Is XMP only for overclock or however to OCs the Rams?
Why they say this to me?I think they want to sell me 2666mhz memory cause it's all they have.

Thank you

Greetings from Italy!

Marco
