Author: isto
Subject: 17851
Posted: 09 Feb 2021 at 1:17am

Update

slight change of plans.

After waiting for two weeks for the components to arrive i realised i forgot to order the cooler -.-

Well, i used the stock cooler (AMD Wraith Stealth) up until now.
Temperatures under heavy load were about 91-98°C

Since i wasn't able to find a reseller for the ID-Cooling cooler just now (except shipping from China which will take a month or more to arrive)
i bought an Thermalright APX-100 Full Copper and an Noctua NF-A12x15 fan.
Unfortunately i got the APX-100 Retro which looks like the Full Copper variant but they made it 7mm taller than the "Full Copper" variant...

So the bad news is that the side panel doesn't fit with the cooler inside. Good news is that the cooling performance is way better with about 78.5°C avg.
I guess the open side helps. Also the rig is way quieter.

I ordered the APX-100 Full Copper which should fit exactly in the case and i will provide an update when i replaced the cooler.
Still looking for the ID-Cooling IS-60 tho. Might have just found a Chinese seller with stock in a close country. I won't give up just yet :D

So I think we are worrying too much about this. IS-60 is 55mm tall

One of them is bound to have info about RAM clearance :)
Compare that with what ID-Cooling gives you for info, it's day and night :)

Couldn't find any.
