Author: John Casey
Subject: 17974
Posted: 01 Feb 2021 at 3:52pm

Hello,

since weeks (or months), I got the problem of resetting BIOS from time to time and finally was able to figure out the reason. As soon as I enable Deep Sleep S4+S5 to have my LEDs turned off while the PC is turned off, after some time, the BIOS will reset. Usually over night, when PC was turned off for some hours.
I am now noticing it, when the PC "double-starts" like press on, loading, going off, going on, Windows starting with reset BIOS.

That means, my RAM XMP Profile is resettet and all my fan tuning goes back to loudness war. Never had this kind of problem before with any other manufacturer. But also this is my first AMD since years, so...

Is this some kind of hardware defect and I have to send in the mainboard or did ASrock just up the BIOS and I can't do anything against it? Sadly, the X570M Pro4 is the only useful mATX X570 Board on the market.
Latest BIOS (3.30) is flashed already.
