The new design brought many of the features of the previously released Z97 to the Intel Extreme line up. With the new chipset release there has also been another important change, the introduction of DDR4 memory. ASRock has been kind enough to send us one of their workstation oriented X99 chipset motherboards, the X99 WS-E.

The X99 WS-E Supports Intel Core i7 and Xeon E5-1600/2600 v3 processor families for the LGA 2011-3 Socket, with up to 18 Cores and 160W TDP. ASRock?™s Digi Power, 12 Power Phase design ensures ample overclocking potential. Eight DDR4 slots allow for 3200+(OC), UDIMM ECC, RDIMM Memory with maximum capacity up to 128GB. Intel Dual Gigabit LAN handles networking duty. Dual PLX8747 bridge chips to allow for x16/x16/x16/x16 operation in a four-way graphic card arrangements. All that and so much more.

To read more, click this link
