I would guess it stands for China BoXed&pound; Given it is just a<br />suffix I am fairly sure it will work with any board that supports the standard<br />Ryzen 5 3500X (without the suffix). If it were based on different silicon it would<br />have a different model number, not just a suffix.<br /><br />Basically CBX models are typically sold in China, based on what I can find on the web.<br />It's probably just something added to verify they comply with local Chinese <br />laws and regulations. I don't see why it would not work. I don't see any CBX<br />suffix parts listed on any QVL so I suspect it actually means nothing to compatibility. ]]>

However the CPU support page for this board B550M Pro4 says Ryzen 53500X (100-000000158). So there is no CBX after 158 in the part number.<br /><br />Is AMD RYZEN 5 3500X 100-100000158CBX supported by this board&pound;<br />Thanks.]]>
