So now I have 6 satas connected to 2 to 7. But two harddrives are not found. Any advice on this matter? The sata 1 and 2 are not connected so this should work. The cpu is an i9 9900k so that should not be the limiting factor. The GPU is mounted right below the m2 ssd and works fine.

If either one of them is in use, the others will be disabled.
M2_2, SATA3_4, and SATA3_5 share lanes. If either one of them is in use, the others will be disabled.

In your case, the maximum number of storage is 1 M.2 SSD + 6 SATA HDD/SSD.

Please refer to our website for more information about Z390 Extreme 4.
https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z390%20Extreme4/index.asp#Specification

If you have other questions, please feel free to contact us.

All the best,
ASRock TSD
How is this set up on the Asrock Z390 Extreme 4? I've currently connected 7 satas and I would like to add 1 NVMe SSD. The "Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB M.2 SSD".

Can I connect this to any of the two ports without it interfering with the Sata ports or should I take another approach?

Kind regards,

Cambesa
