    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=21205">beginurlon</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 19340<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 02 Aug 2021 at 10:35am<br /><br />I kept clicking on things and figured out the issue and figured I'd post it here in the event that someone runs into the same problem.<br /><br />Open up your disk manager by typing "Disk Management" into the search bar<br />Look for Discs without any volumes, if the disk is connected you should see some unregistered volumes.<br />Right-click those volumes and create a new simple volume, assigning it a disk letter and name. <br /><br />There you go, a new simple volume you can use!]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=21205">beginurlon</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 19340<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 02 Aug 2021 at 10:12am<br /><br />I'm having an issue adding a M.2 drive to serve as a secondary application drive.<br /><br />I have the Z97 PRO4 2.50 NVME update<br />When I go to the UEFI Storage option it only lists three of the SATA drives<br />I have force M2 set up in the UEFI storage section<br />When I go to the UEFI NVME it does show the correct code for the M.2 SSD<br /><br />Motherboard: Z97 Pro4 (2.50 bios update)<br />SSD: Western Digital 2TB M.2 2280 NVMe SSD (WDC WDS200T2B0C)<br /><br />I found a post online that it wouldn't be as fast as it could be due to the limitations of the board but it was backwards compatible. <br />I have a separate OS SSD so the M2 is anticipated to just hold applications replacing one of the old SATA spinning drives.<br /><br />Any thought on what I'm missing?]]>
