Author: Jattier
Subject: 19469
Posted: 24 Aug 2021 at 1:24am

I have a ASRock Z370 Pro4 in a CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme VR GXiVR8080A2 which came with 16gb RAM. The DIMMS are 8GB each.

I purchased four 16GB 2666 sticks (CT16G4DFRA266) which, according to the Z370 manual, should be compatible.

When I install the RAM, the computer continually reboots about ever 15 seconds and nothing ever appears on the monitor. When I replace the original RAM back, the PC boots up fine.

I've tried resetting the CMOS and have had the same results. The CMOS definitely reset successfully as I had to reset the date after restoring the original memory again.

I've also tried only installing two of the new memory sticks in the same configuration as the original RAM, same results.

I don't know what to try next.
