I understand it should go in M2_2 since I already have one in M2_1. My question is, will the MVNE with the built in heatsink fit in the second slot or should any MVNE going in M2_2 NOT have one?

In case it matters, I'm looking at a 2TB WD drive. These two:
WDS200T3XHC (with heatsink) -
WDS200T3X0C (without heatsink)

Thanks in advance.
