The beep has a different pitch and is quieter.

For 4, I meant to type 0.030-0.050v when talking about droop.

I would imagine MSI handles
their updates in a different way. ASRock will likely fix this on future boards.
Once you have updated your BIOS to the latest version and all is working it
shouldn't effect you again. The latest update likely removes the need to do
this in the future.

I am not sure about the other questions. You can try contacting ASRock Tech Support:
https://event.asrock.com/tsd.asp

Author: asdf23451
Subject: 19923
Posted: 10 Dec 2021 at 6:28am

I recently have gotten the ASRock X570 Taichi, and I have to say that I overall love it. However, there are a few questions I have about it.

I will use the MSI B550 Tomahawk and an ASRock X370 Killer SLI/ac to compare functionality for the questions.

1: Why is it recommended to use BIOS flashback when updating the BIOS with a Pinnacle Ridge or Picasso CPU? What confuses me is that I recently set up a system for a friend with a MSI B550 Tomahawk, and was able to update the BIOS with a 1700 I had laying around.

2: Why does enabling CSM disable the Above 4G Decoding and Resizeable BAR options? These options work just fine on the B550 Tomahawk with CSM enabled. Why does this board restrict them?

3: Is there any way to disable the post beep? I have a PC speaker connected to my system, and it makes a loud beep after posting. I had to use some sticky tack to quiet down the speaker. I have a somewhat broken X370 Killer SLI/ac, and it makes a quieter, pleasant beep when I press del to enter the BIOS. I would like to have the same functionality on my X570 Taichi.

4: Not really a question, but the level 1 LLC option kinda sucks. It looks more like what level 3 should be by looking at the graph in the BIOS. I had a 0.300-0.500v droop with level 1 when attempting 4.2 GHz with my 2700X.

I'm currently using BIOS revision 4.30, which is what my board came with, and I don't feel that it is necessary to upgrade the BIOS at this time. I don't see any of these mentioned in the release notes of newer BIOS revisions, and I don't want to use BIOS flashback due to hearing about it bricking boards.
