DDR4 2133 is the technical max supported frequency of Intel Skylake CPUs. As such anything over that is considered an overclock on the RAM which is only supported on Z170/X99 chipsets.

I am using an H170 board in my own system as well as Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2800 RAM and am likewise stuck at a maximum of 2133. I have tightened my timings to make up the difference a little.

It is a silly limitation but it comes from the chipset/intel not ASRock. Non-Z chipsets do not support overclocking in any way, CPU or RAM. With certain memory modules and ASRock's "DDR4 OC" feature you can get some RAM to run at higher speeds but only on specific models of RAM and sadly Corsair is not supported.

I have a ASROCK H170M Pro4 Motherboard and 2x 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400 Mhz Module (CMK16GX4M2A2400C14R) which has XMP2.0 profiles as per the Corsair website.

I am having problems getting the XMP2.0 to work and the memory modules only operate at 2133Mhz currently. There is just simply no option for me to choose XMP2.0 Profile in the BIOS screen

Any help would be appreciated to help to get the memory operating at 2400Mhz or the XMP profiles to work

Thanks =)
