What error codes are you seeing when you boot?

The Dr Debug display shows POST codes, which are the Power On Self Test procedures that happens every time a PC starts or restarts. Each test that is done during POST has a code number that identifies it.

If one of the POST tests fails, then POST will stop and the code number of that test is displayed as a clue about what is failing. But it is normal for POST codes to be displayed, one after another, which does not indicate any errors have occurred.

If the PC boots, or you can get into the BIOS/UEFI, POST finished fine. You may see the last POST test code displayed, usually A6 or A4, but the PC would not boot if one of the POST tests failed.

I'm guessing that this is what you are talking about, right or not?

Is the 1TB drive new, never used before? If so, it is normal for it to be recognized in the BIOS/UEFI, but not in Windows.

If it's a new drive, start Disk Management in Windows. It will immediately prompt you to initialize and format the drive. Follow the prompts and when you are done, the drive will be ready to use and recognized in Windows.

If this is not the situation, let us know.

Update. Internet is working after loading all the disks and letting it install everything. Still get the error codes on the boot up and can't access the 1TB drive. It shows up on the setup screen-the UI for the motherboard possibly? Again, new to all of this. I am learning though-I still think you guys are wizards and geniuses or something? I thought loading the OS on the SD would make it quicker but I get hand ups on simple keyboard inputs sometimes. Hmm. Well, it worked! I removed the cmos battery, moved the graphics card to a different slot, reseated the cpu, moved the ram to the slots you mentioned and used an ancient computer monitor. I was able to install Windows 10. I have some new issue now though..figures. I get a message saying " The Intel mac addresses are invalid in both cmos and flash" I installed Windows to the SSD and have the 1TB drive in the other bay. It first showed both now only shows the SSD as C.
Also, can't connect to the internet. I pulled the cord from a working active device but says I don't have any networking installed.

It might be your first build, but it is a great learning experience for you. Do NOT give up!! Thumbs Up

It is always easier to go with a basic build at first, and then move up in steps. Please keep this in mind.

You have given us most of the information we need, thanks for that.

The 53 POST code is a memory problem, but I'm sure your Crucial memory is compatible with your CPU and board.

Since this is your first build, I'll go over some basics. Believe me, many people forget these things, so don't feel bad about it if one turns out to be your problem.

ALL work done is ONLY done with NO power at all to the PC, PSU turned off and unplugged!!!!

You need BOTH the 24 pin power cable AND the 4/8 pin CPU power cable connected to the board. That is the 8 pin connector at the top left side of the board.

The correct memory slots to use are the A2 and B2 slots, when using two DIMMs as you have. Check the manual for their location. Your board has the one side locking type of DIMM slot, so it is difficult to get the memory seated in the slot correctly.

Look at the way your memory is in the slots now, using the top edge of the slot as a reference line. Compare that to the memory stick. Are any markings on the memory stick perfectly even from one side to the other compared to the line of the top edge of the memory slot? Do you see things on the memory stick on one end that you don't see on the other? If so, remove the memory stick and insert it again.

Don't use a TV at first for a monitor, they can be weird. I also suggest NOT using your video card at first, use the Intel onboard graphics. Which means removing the video card.

The DVI to VGA adapter may not work, since the DVI connection on the video card might be a digital ONLY output. You must use a DVI-I connection if you must adapt to VGA. If your monitor has DVI or HDMI, use that.

After doing any or all of these things, clear the BIOS/CMOS before you start the PC again. If you don't know how, let us know.

Do this for a start, and let us know how it goes. Geek

I really don't know what am doing and should not have attempted a build but I did and am stuck!

Everything is hooked up-it turns on but no display to either the TV via HDMI or Monitor via DVI to VGA.

I've searched and been to forums seeking help just in the FAQ's but really frustrated. Any help is appreciated.
