Memory support can be tricky. I would check the support page for the RAM itself and see if your board is listed as supported.

Most often though the only way to know is to try it.

Hello all.

I have a question regarding a certain memory stick and i want to know if it will be supported by my motherboard: B85M-Pro3
This is the stick.

I'm well aware that this MoBo can support up to 1600MHz of RAM and this is a 1866MHz stick, however im pretty sure it will bottleneck the speed down to 1600 so no issues there (correct me if i'm wrong).
The problem, however, is that the actual model of the stick is not listed in the 'memory support list' of this MoBo, which can be found here.

Hopefully a straight answer will be given.
