Author: dervonnebenaan
Subject: 22274
Posted: 26 Feb 2022 at 5:32pm

Hey guys.

Ever since I rebuilt my PC with an ASROCK B550 Phantom Gaming 4 P1.40 (and some other compontents like new RAM, Ryzen7 Processor etc.), I'm having two different problems, which I suspect are connected:

1. Wakeup
When I put Windows to sleep, it doesn't stay asleep. Instead, it wakes up again after seemingly random times between 1-5 minutes.

I disabled the "Allow wake timers" option in Windows power settings.

I disabled all wake options in BIOS:

Suspend to RAM - Auto

Deep Sleep - Disabled

PS/2 Wakeup - Disabled

PCIE Devices Power on - Disabled

RTC Alarm Power on - Disabled

When I check Windows Logs for the wake events, it says "Wake Source: Power Button", even though no buttons were pressed. This is why I think it's a problem with the motherboard.

2. Peripheral power
When I turn off my PC, my Keyboard, USB-Hub and Game Controllers all still have power and light up my room like a jazz lounge.

I deactivated the "USB Power delivery in Sofft off State (S5)" option in BIOS.

I disabled onboard LED in S5.

The behaviour is inconsistent. Sometimes, the lights stay on. Sometimes they don't.

Any ideas what might be the problem? Is this even a motherboard problem or do I need to look elsewhere?

Thanks in advance.
dervonnebenaan
