The question here is, what is causing this message to be displayed.<br><br>You may have built 5,000 PCs, but how many of them were with a P67 Extreme4 board and Windows 10? <img src="https://forum.asrock.com/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /><br><br>Please describe the message about coming out of hibernation mode. You see this message from a cold boot/startup? The message is not from Windows, but happens when, just after POST?<br><br>Your board has two fast startup features, ASRock Instant Start and Intel's Rapid Start. I assume neither of these are in use?<br><br>You seem to believe a BIOS update will cause this hibernation message to disappear, but why? What would a third party BIOS upgrade change to stop this mysterious message from appearing?<br><br>There is a Beta BIOS version you can find here:<br><br><a href="http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/P67%20Extreme4/?cat=Beta" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/P67%20Extreme4/?cat=Beta</a><br><br>Have you considered that an option in the BIOS with its default setting is somehow interacting with the Windows 10 fast startup feature? Or do you have that option disabled in Windows too? <br><br>I'm guessing about possibilities since we know nothing about the nature of this "coming out of hibernation mode" message.<br><br>Are you using all default settings in the BIOS?<br><br>For example, in the South Bridge Configuration screen, the <b>Deep Sx</b> option. This option sets the shutdown state of the PC. Full shutdown is considered to be the S5 power state. The default value of this option is <i><b>Disabled</b></i>. Have you tried using the <i><b>Enabled in S5</b></i> setting?<br><br>Since I can only go by the manual for your board regarding BIOS options, and manuals are rarely updated to reflect changes made in BIOS updates, there could be options in the BIOS that are not in the manual. Have you gone through the BIOS, screen by screen, looking for options that might be related to this strange message you are seeing?<br><br><i><b>Hmm</b></i>, you say you have "... bios 3.0", and there is no update available. I am retired now and picked this used ASRock main board to build this. Usually I pick new Gigabyte boards with never any problem. This case was just setting here so I purchased this. All power settings are set to never sleep or hibernate. Of course I shut the computer clear down. The bios is 3.1. What else can I say?<br>]]>

Are you selecting that instead of Shutdown? If Windows is configured to automatically go into Hibernation mode after a period of inactivity, then you need to change that if you don't want the PC to hibernate.<br><br>Are you selecting Windows Shutdown, but the PC goes into Hibernation mode?<br><br>Did you install Windows on the PC, or are you using an existing Windows installation that came with the PC when you bought it?<br><br>It sounds like the Intel Rapid Start feature is in use on that PC.<br>]]>
