AHCI (which is an old outdated format)
2. SATA which has the same speed as a 2.5 inch SATA SSD, 550Mb)
3. PCIE (NVME) which runs at higher speed

M2_1 can support SATA and NVME)
M2_2 can only support NVME M.2
Check the firmware of the M.2, and check if both individually run at M2_1, which means, the M.2 are okay.
Often this is related to the M.2 firmware
I have installed the pair of WD 500gb Black SN750 M2 drives. The corrective re-install of Windows 10 to move it over to one of the drives went smooth. When I open the BIOS it shows both drives and in the device manager menu it shows both drives. However when I open up my file menus and go to This PC as a quick way to open up the drives so I can begin moving some files from my drive that is dying to my new drives and sort it out only the drive with my operating system installed shows up.

Looking for any suggestions.
