    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=24360">threadzipper1957</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 24683<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 18 Jul 2022 at 11:00pm<br /><br />When You use the optical output, the 5.1 audio stream is modulated on the signal, and the soundbar, has to decode the signal, also the source has to provide the correct audio stream<br />Default Windows uses Stereo.<br />You should see it like this, when you send a 5.1 signal via Optical, you can use a surround amplifier, this will decode the audio stream, and will send the signal to the speakers, and subwoofer.<br />On a PC, this means hat you use software, to play a movie, end in the player like Kodi of VLC, you have to set it up to playback 5.1 or Dolby Atmos, DTS or whatever stream is attached<br />Maybe contact Vizio support as wel, since I have no idea of the capabilities of this hardware]]>
