    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=74">parsec</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 2469<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 18 Apr 2016 at 1:04am<br /><br />It is normal for PCIe NVMe SSDs to <b>NOT be listed</b> in the <i><b>Storage Configuration</b></i> screen in the UEFI.<br><br>Only <b>SATA</b> drives or PCIe SSDs that use an <b>AHCI</b> driver (non-NVMe version of the SM951) will appear in the <i><b>Storage Configuration</b></i> screen.<br><br>NVMe is a different storage protocol than SATA, so we should not expect this type of SSDs to be included in the screen used for SATA/AHCI type drives.<br><br>My NVMe SSDs also do not appear in the Storage Configuration screens of my ASRock X99 and Z170 board's UEFIs.<br><br>Regarding the SM951 not being seen by Windows, did you initialize and format it in <b>Disk Management</b>? You must do that before any drive will be seen by Windows.<br>]]>
