No, the unit will not power up without a CPU. The power button will simply not
respond without one. If you had a CPU but no RAM installed it would power on the

Hi.
I got barebone unit Asrock A300 with A300m-ATX motherbord.
There is no CPU , ram or HDD installed.Only heatsink with fan.
Should this PC still turn on or beep when connected to power supply ?
I have pressed power button but blue light does not come on and fan is not spinning.
I dont want to buy cpu and ram if this unit is faulty.
Please help.
