Serialnumber are never in the BIOS, and this is a genuine product.
System integrators like Dell and HP, use a serialnumber in BIOS, and when a board is replaced, they use a tool to write a new serialnumber into the BIOS, based on the serialnumber on the outside of the chassis.
The serialnumber is on a sticker, and it is ofter on the IO ports shroud, sometiems on the side, where the 8Pin CPU power is connected on the board.

Hi,

I tried to read out the serial number of my B550 Taichi, which I bought 2021 from a large vendor but there is no number set to the motherboard.

I know that there should be a sticker on the board itself but I am curious about why I cannot read the information directly. Maybe this board is not genuine?

Is it common that the serial number information is omitted on some hardware?
