I booted to Windows (usually I only boot to Linux) and installed the Polychrome RGB app, and immediately launching the app, it started to update to the motherboard's RGB firmware. And after the update, the RGB header started to work.

Although the Polychrome RGB seemed quite unstable app, after updating the motherboard's RGB firmware, the PC rebooted without warning. And now everytime, when I launch the Polychrome RGB app, the PC will just reboot. But at least now the RGB header works! (and I can at least set the RGB color from BIOS) I just hope that I won't ever encounter this problem again, as the Polychrome RGB app doesn't work for me currently. And I don't know does the Polychrome RGB app offer a way to force update the RGB firmware (if you are already on the latest RGB firmware)?

    Author: Japi
Subject: 24912
Posted: 15 Sep 2022 at 1:29am

Hey,

I have Asrock X570 Creator motherboard. The motherboard has worked well until now. For some reason the RGB LED header (12V RGB) in the motherboard has stopped working. Before it has worked well. I have a waterblock for a GPU that uses 12V RGB to light it up. So it is quite annoying that now I can't light up the RGB lights on the GPU. I have tried to chance the RGB settings in BIOS in the Asrock motherboard, but it hasn't helped. Then I got to test the waterblock's RGB light in another PC, and it worked on that PC. So the problem seems to be in this Asrock motherboard. Is there some way to fix the problem? Can updating BIOS help anything to recover the RGB header (I'm currently on P3.30)? Or is it just broken?
