Author: wakkarnc
Subject: 2494
Posted: 21 Apr 2016 at 6:21am

Hi,

So I'm having some issues booting up my newly assembled computer. (I have listed all the specs at the bottom of this post for information).

Granted, this is the first computer I have assembled in about a decade, so I'm a bit rusty. I connected everything and the power turned on, graphic card lights up and fans start spinning and I get three long beeps from the speaker and nothing on the monitor. I then took out the motherboard, and noticed the RAMs weren't all the way in their slots. I reconnected them (properly this time) and plugged everything back in.

Now when I hit the power button, same thing, lights and fans activate, but this time no beeps at all and still nothing on the monitor.

Could someone please assist me with what may be wrong? I'd be happy to provide pictures of everything if that would be of assistance. Any help is greatly appreciated as I can't really afford for this computer not to work.

Motherboard: ASRock Z170M Pro4S LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

RAM: HyperX FURY 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2666 (PC4 21300) Intel X99 Desktop Memory Model HX426C15FBK2/8

Graphics card: ASUS Radeon R9 380 STRIX-R9380-DC2OC-4GD5-GAMING 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Processor: Intel BX80662I36100 Intel Core i3 6100 Skylake Dual-Core 3.7 GHz Processor

Power Supply: EVGA 100-W1-0500-KR - 500W 80 Plus Power Supply (100-W1-0500-KR)

Primary HDD: Crucial BX100 250GB SATA 2.5 Inch Internal Solid State Drive - CT250BX100SSD1

Secondary HDD: WD 1TB 3.5 inch Internal Hard Drive - Caviar Blue

Case: Cooler Master N200 - Micro ATX Mini Tower Computer Case with Front 240mm Radiator Support and Ventilated Front Panel
