Author: jasnxl
Subject: 25033
Posted: 25 Oct 2022 at 2:44am

This is a new build around the Z690 Aqua OC, (BIOS 10.02), and I've installed 2 Corsair MP600 PRO XT M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen. 4 x4 SSDs into slots M2_1, and M2_2. There are no other drives installed into the system yet.

I was initially able to install Windows 11 on the drive in slot M2_2 and I was able to boot the computer and install some software. However, while I was running the CrystalMark SSD benchmark the system halted and when I rebooted, the drive had disappeared. I thought this was an issue with either the Corsair drive or the slot.

However, I tried switching the drive to the M2_3 slot, and reinstalling it back into slot M2_2. In either slot, sometimes the drive shows up, but if I try to access it I'll get an error, and then the drive disappears again. I then installed Windows 11 onto the still working Corsair drive in M2_1, and it again worked for a short time before disappearing and no longer being available.

Now neither drive is accessible no matter which slot I install them in. I've submitted a Tech Support request, but if anyone here can confirm which M2 slots I should be installing these drives in to, and what settings, if any, I should use.

TIA..
