I also tested my old 2700X, and instead of being unstable at stock frequencies, it passes Linpack without issues.<br /><br />Not sure why I gave ASRock another chance after X370 being a disaster.]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=21940">asdf23451</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 25046<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 03 Nov 2022 at 1:00pm<br /><br />So basically yesterday (and today) I swapped boards since I kinda wanted to anyways due to the X570 Taichi not supporting SATA hotswap for no reason.<br /><br />My main platform is now on my old board, and I now have the X570 Taichi as a testbed that I can quickly test with, it still has a 5000 series processor, although a single CCD one as it's a 5800X.<br /><br />Anyways I remembered that I could just swap the 7 setup for the 8 one, so I did that, and got through the first setup stage, but when booting 7, I get the same BSOD, safe mode or not. Also it doesn't create any boot log.]]>

If it boots into safe mode<br />you can then reboot and see if it resolves the issue. Windows 7 and above all refresh<br />essential drivers when safe mode is entered as well as load any missing drivers.]]>

The issue is the lack of driver support for Win7. You need to upgrade the OS to Win8 or newer. Preferably Win 10. Personally, I would wait to upgrade to Win 11 for at least 1 year.]]>

Before with the 2700X, Windows 7 worked fine, however now with the 5950X, only Windows 8 or newer works. Windows 7 gives a 0x000007E error at boot. I was also testing the CPU in a MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon, and it boots fine on that board. This tells me that the problem is this board, I am really starting to dislike this board.]]>
