Author: kryvian
Subject: 25121
Posted: 24 Nov 2022 at 2:40am

Hello, I'm trying to move from ryzen 7 2700x (pinnacle ridge) to ryzen 9 5950 (vermeer).

X570 had 2.10 update, i updated from that to 3.0 (last update that can take it from pinnacle ridge to vermeer) so that i can switch from ryzen 7 to 9, and then update bios to latest. When i swapped cpus i also added 2 extra nvme ssds, afterwards it starts, black screen for 30sec then shuts down, and after 5 seconds restarts.

I turned off the psu and did the power button cycle with something conductive on the prongs next to the CMOS battery, i checked the CPU fan1 socket and the cable is still well seated.
Neither worked, please advise.
