I have just built a new quite, system, Z170 Extreme 7+, 32GB ram, and am ready to clean install win 10.

I am going to use an M.2 drive as my boot drive and have a Pioneer BD/DvD odd.  

I plan to install from a usb drive. Should I use a usb 2 drive or usb 3.x? Does it matter?

I am going to use the on-board video/audio so there are no PCIe cards. 

I would also like to know when to update my bios. Should I do that before installing windows? 

Does anyone have any advice that will make this effort easier?
