Ground<br />2. variable voltage up to 12 Volt<br />3. RPM sensor<br /><br />4 pins fans have a different layout<br />1. Ground<br />2. Fixed 12Volt<br />3. RPM sensor<br />4. PWMJ steering, so the pulse frequency sets the fan speed.<br />A lot of 3 pin fans run at full speed because of the fixed 12 volt, when using a 4Pin header]]>

If I connect a 3 pin fan to one of these connectors, will I be able to control its speed in the bios? Or maybe fan must be 4 pin? And the last question is can I connect the fan controller to chassis fan connector and control several fans?]]>
