It should, there is a header for it on the motherboard. The only thing your board
lacks is the physical audio jacks on the rear IO. Instead of 6 or 5 + optical
you only have the 3. To use your 5.1 setup you need to connect 2 of your channels (one jack)
to the front panel output. It's just called front panel, you can have the jacks located
anywhere you like but typically the case has built in jacks on the front that connect
to the board via a header.

You can buy (very cheaply) a set of jacks on a PCI slot cover with the same header
attached to them, thus allowing you to move the front panel jacks to the rear.

Sorry if I was confusing in my last post. You should be able to use your 5.1
setup just fine. You may need to use extender cables so you can connect one of
your outputs to the front panel (the output on your case) but other than that, you
shouldn't need to do anything. Getting a rear mounted output is optional, just to
tidy up cables.

From what I remember you need to hook up the speakers (5.1/7.1) to the rear IO
outputs and the front panel outputs. Unfortunately the Phantom Gaming Lightning is
a "budget" board. ASRock do this quite often, sacrificing something less used
(like the extra audio outputs on the back) in favor of keeping more important features
like bigger heatsinks on the VRMs etc. It's a cost balance thing. ASRock tend to
provide great value in their price points, often retaining higher end features
that similarly priced boards from other manufacturers drop.

If memory serves, the last time I used a 7.1 setup on a board with outputs in this
configuration it required that I utilize both the rear and front panel audio outputs.
I picked up a PCI slot mounted audio output module from Ebay and moved the front
ports to the back for convenience.
