Hi There...

Cool beans man, I had this problem with my x670 taichi

(as an early adopter)

so had to find a solution, its just strange how

ASrock don't post these drivers on all there motherboard pages

it would solve a lot of problems for people.....

I swear I have the same issue on Asrock B650E Taichi Lite and Ryzen 7800X3D.
I reinstalled windows 11 four times... Nothing helps at all.
Did you or anyone found solution? Can AsRock investigate the issue?

Thanks for the response.
Unfortunately I already returned the board. It was either defective or the firmware had game breaking unresolved issues.

The hardware I had is below:
7700x
ASRock x670e Taichi Motherboard
G.skill 6400 cl32 memory (on the mobos memory qvl list fyi)
EVGA rtx 3089 GPU
Samsung 980 Pro NVME 1tb

I returned the taichi and opted for the Asus Rog Strix x670e-e and it's working beautifully so far. No unstoppable acpi.sys errors from from hell bogging my whole system down.

Hi There,

This is my first time posting on this forum as I recently purchased and built a new Ryzen 7700x build w/ the x670e Taichi mobo. Now on to my maddening issue...

After a fresh install of either windows 10 pro 22h2 and windows 11 pro 22h2 I first install the chipset drivers, reboot, then GPU drivers. From there I begin running windows update to get my OS up to speed. The problem I'm encountering is severe stutter, game lag and mouse lag. Keep in mind I fully tested my system with benchmark testing and stress testing to ensure my system was stable. Getting my memory stable was a little tricky, but lowering the speed by 1 notch from 6000 to 58000 did the trick. Despite all of that, my games still lag and mouse is horribly lagged. Fortunately I know why this is happening.

I found using latency monitor that acpi.sys is incessantly called w/ no end in sight, completely loading up all my cores/threads resources (cores 0-7) to unacceptable latency levels. If my games use any of those cores, my game lags. If I set core affinity for my games to run on cores 8-15, the game lag and input latency greatly improves. Obviously this is not ideal, but it's the only workaround at the moment.

I've tried a lot to resolve the issue. For starters, I've tried all bios versions available for this board, beta bios' as well. I've tried disabling all acpi settings in the bios. Tried enabling all acpi settings in the bios. Tried disabling cstates, pss, smt, etc. No matter what, acpi.sys is called immediately after I log on. It occurs when the process 'system interrupts' launches shortly after boot. Once it starts, it doesn't end and my computer is darn near unusable for gaming or any real time audio task. I made sure I'm using optimal drivers that perform well and yield low dpc latency with no spikes. I've tried tweaking the power plan to max performance while also experimenting with disabling throttling and idle along with processor idle demote and promote settings. I've set everything to max performance. I've disabled all power saving features on USB/nic/hid devices.

Either the board's firmware hasn't matured and has serious game breaking unresolved issues, my board is defective. I'm at my wits end at this point.

If anyone has any suggestions or solutions, I'm all ears.
