    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=24360">threadzipper1957</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 25431<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 20 Feb 2023 at 5:55pm<br /><br />I think it would be best to use the latest BIOS, if still the 1 GB is maximum,<br />The fixed value is usually, when You want to keep the buit in graphics active, when using a dedicated graphics card, by default the built in, is deactivated, when a graphics card is used, and only by settings this fixed value, You can keep the onboard graphics active.<br />But Windows uses DVMT, so a dynamic use of your RAm memory, depending on the needs of the application, it uses up to half of the available RAM memory.<br />By setting built in to a fixed value, it will not increase the performance.<br />As soon as the operating system is acive, it will take control of all the resources.<br />By setting it to a fixed value, you actually limit the graphics capabilities that Windows can address, because you disable DVMT]]>
