Keep in mind that M.2 share resources
*M2_2, SATA3_3 and SATA3_4 share lanes. If either one of them is in use, the others will be disabled.

**If M2_1 is occupied, PCIE4 will be disabled.
But I think the problem that you have is related to the controllsr chip on the m.2

Mobo : Asrock B450 Steel Legend
Drive : WD Black SN750X 2TB

Tried both M.2 Slots on the mobo, cant detect the drive. But able to detect the older [Adata SX8500PNP 500GB]. Then only i check the supported storage, its not in the list.

I wonder if there are anything i can do to make it usable ? Bios update ? Get PCIE card that offer M.2 slots ? Anything ? Its ok if i cant use it as boot drive or utilize max speed, I just dont want it to collect dust.
