    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=24360">threadzipper1957</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 25547<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 06 Mar 2023 at 11:53pm<br /><br />An X299 Xpower Gaming AC, is an MSI board<br />Try if it is detected when the NIC card is removed, sometimes resources are shared.<br />And try with the 970 on M2.3<br />When a 970 is detected on M2.3, you know for a fact, that this M.2 port is working.<br />If that is the case, it is most likely a firmware or controller issue.<br />It sometimes happens, that the board has a problem, finding the controlelr, and on another board the M.2 does work.<br />Then go for another model of M.2]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=4121">TanC</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 25547<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 28 Feb 2023 at 11:36am<br /><br />I have an ASRock X299 XPower Gaming AC motherboard.<br />I have 3 x M.2 drives - All NVMe.<br /><br />M2.1 2TB 970 EVO plus Samsung<br />M2.2 1TB 970 Evo Plus Samsung<br />M2.3 1TB 980 Pro Samsung.<br /><br />The BIOS does not detect the 980 pro.<br />If I put the 980 Pro in M2.2 it is detected.<br /><br />The manual shows 1 M2 port connected to CPU and 2 connected to Chipset. <br />I am guessing M2.1 and M2.2 are chipset as they support both SATA and NVme, and M2.3 is connected to the CPU but I can't tell from the manual.<br /><br />Neither the block diagram of the motherboard layout indicate which is connected to the CPU.<br /><br />I have one GPU connected to PCIe 1 and I have a 10G NIC connected to PCIe 5<br /><br />Tried several of the latest BIOSs but I cannot get the 980 Pro to be detected on the M2.3 port.]]>
