    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://forum.asrock.com/member_profile.asp?PF=24360">threadzipper1957</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 25626<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 24 Mar 2023 at 6:15pm<br /><br />The best option is to google for 12600K overclocking.<br />But, in the Intel Microcode, there is a piece of code, that also determines which CPU, and which chipset is used, and this opens the way, to CPU overclocking.<br />The test simply checks if a K series CPU is used, and if there is a Z series chipset in use.<br />Only when both conditions are met (K CPU in combination with Z chipset), Intel opens the possibility to overclock the CPU.<br />And not every CPU can handle higher frequencies, so even 2 different 12600K, it can happen, one can reach higher speeds than the other.]]>
