Not sure what the concern is. I would consider the board VRM design to be more than adequate to run a 5800X to its maximum potential.

Me personally, don't chase the last 1% of the performance (or even the last 10%), as my primary goal is reliability. So I only use JEDEC ECC DIMMs and don't even enable Boost functionality. Yeah, I'm weird like that, but I like all my components ending up at a museum in working condition after I die. LOL

There will be a sticker on the BIOS chip with a version number printed on it. The
sticker will be a simple white paper sticker with just a simple number on it:
"P1.20" for example.

There are no seals in the packaging so you can open the box (unless your retailer
put a sticker on there). This is the only way to check the BIOS version,
unfortunately it is not printed on the box as the version may be updated at various
points in the supply chain. The sticker on the BIOS chip will be the version that

Its all new ofc from a retailer.The point is a friend of mine told me u choose a low power supply phase 8 pin or something motherboard and if u want to overclock it and have the ryzen at maximum u can said to me .
Well i dont know what to do .

Then it's almost certainly going to have a recent BIOS already.

Good evening to all of you.
I apologize for asking ,maybe is a dumb question but i recently brought from scratch parts for a new pc and when i used a site for compatible I saw i make a mistake.
If anyone can help me before i open the box.

Motherboard Asrock: B550m pro4
CPu Ryzen : 7 5800x
Cpu cooler; be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4
Power Supply:SeaSonic B12 BC 850 W 80+ Bronze.
GPu: Rx 6700xt saphire 12gb

The ASRock B550M Pro4 Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard supports the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor with BIOS version P1.20. If the motherboard is using an older BIOS version, upgrading the BIOS will be necessary to support the CPU.

I did a mistake buying this motherboard? Should i proceed unboxing ?
