But actually, BIOS is somewhat of a software, also, so that makes it a bit iffy.  Ideally, BIOS would just leave the extra GPU alone, and then software can initialize it.<br /><br />Windows 10 and later makes it relatively easy to support multiple GPUs, and you can do much cooler things with modern OS & virtualization, such as letting a Virtual Machine get full access to one of the GPUs.<br /><br />With modern hardware, I don't see a problem doing this, but 970 Pro3 is pretty old at this point (almost a decade old AM3+).  So if you run into BIOS problems, you're unlikely to get much support.<br /><br />I actually think it'll work okay, but I can't recommend it.<br />]]>
